(Registered under the societies registraion Act no .XX1 of 1860 as applicable in state of kerala). Affiliated to Kerala Tennis Association & Kozhikode district sports council

Kozhikode Lawn Tennis Association (KLTA) was formed in 1980s. Mr. P.N.Shivarama Pillai, then Hony. Secretary was instrumental in getting land for two tennis courts near to Indore Stadium on lease from Calicut Corporation for Tennis Courts in 1982. District Championships were organised every year since then.

In 1990 KLTA hosted the prestigious Satellite International Tennis Tournament, in which more than 100 International and national players participated. The main venue was   Providence College  where 5 tennis courts were prepared for the event .
